The Simia Poculum Entomophagous a.k.a the Tropical Pitcher plant

 

We got an emergency call from a zoo here in Switzerland: troubles in the tropical garden!
The  Pitcher Sprite was not only eating flies.
He ate, for the second time, again a finger of a child. And after this accident we've decided it's better for the plant as well as for the visitors, who are to stupid to read the signs...don't touch anything and keep your children leashed, that we have to find a new home for him.
In the meanwhile, we put this Sprite save behind glass and feed him once in a while a fly.

 

 

 

Simia Poculum Entomophagous literally means :  Monkey Cups eating insects
