Branch Sprites

 

These Sprites are family from the Branch Creatures. They're much smaller and wiser and more monster like then the Branch Creatures. That's why it is difficult to classify them in just 1 group.

I think they belong more with the Sprites then with the Monsters.

But they still keep their given family name: Driftwood Monsters. This is also not totally right. They can swim and drift, but if they don't have to, you will never spot them in the water.

 

You can find them often after a heavy storm lying around very old and big trees. Bad luck for them if the tree stands near the water. These trees give them normally a good home and protect them against predators. But heavy storms are fortunately for them not so often here. If they fall out, they will climb up in the tree again. This may take often a couple of days, but yes they can. Maybe if you once run into one, have a look, if there is a old tree and hang him on a branch close to the trunk.

 

These ones here fell out of their ''home tree'' while taking it down. Very sad!

If more people would know what all lives in the trees, they would not take so many down.

 

I was really lucky that people brought them to me. They are now domesticated and can't go back in the wild again, so they can be adopted.
