Hi!

 

I'm Mandy, born in 1980, makes me now... years.

Why do I like monsters? Well......

 

My mother always had a book on a shelf: Faeries by

Brian Froud and Alan Lee.

Faeries, leprechauns, mountain men, goblins, pixies etc. a super book.

First I could only watch it together with her, now, years later, it's on my shelf and she can have a look in it, when she is visiting.

 

Later on, when I was old enough to watch The Dark Crystal and  Labyrinth with al these magical creatures, Super!

Don't forget the Muppets who also have a lot of strange creatures running around.

 

Also monsters in many other books and movies for example: Lord of the Rings, The Spiderwick chronicles, Harry Potter, Pan's Labyrinth, The Never Ending Story etc.

 

And then, there are also the other creatures.

The ones who are walking around in our houses. Often we don't even know that they are living with us.

Or the ones in the forests. You never had the idea, something is going on when it got dark and you where still in the forest? That are not just animals, who make those sounds.

Now you think probably, you crazy woman! Well every person has to be a little crazy!

But serious everybody has somewhere a creature around him, you just have to believe and then you will see...
