Potatoe Eater
They are named like this because their favourite food are potatoes. But all kind of veggies and fruits go into this monster. They're often found on acres and farmland, where is a lot of agriculture. This one was eating the veggie garden from the neighbours empty. So we caught him and found him a new home, where he can eat now as many vegies as he wants
Potato Eater
The Latin name: Comedere Solanum Tuberosum Vegetabilis Pomum
literally means: Eating Potato Flourishing Fruits
but their known by their common name Potato Eater.
The one here on the photos has a body length of +/- 20 cm, armlength of +/- 52 cm and is around 18 kilo's. This makes him a small Potato Eater because they can get much bigger .
What we know, the biggest ever has been found (France 1968) had a body length of 56.7 cm,
armlength of 76 cm and 54 kilos!! And there your vegies and fruits go......
Sometimes the colour can differ caused by the food they eat. For example: An orange glow caused by eating a lot of carots. Or a purple glow by eating a lot of egg-plants.
